Alhambra (Now with photos!)
Right about now it´s a travesty that I can´t post photos! (EDITED)
I visited the Alhambra today…beyond gorgeous!
(Seen from below)
I spent 5 hours taking it all in, wandering the palace, relaxing in the gardens and taking more photos than any one person should…film AND digital…I´m such a dork.
(The map at the entrance shows exactly how large the site is!)
I´m seriously flustered that I can´t share some of these images with all of you. There is little in the world that can compare to the spectacle of this place: countless tiles, endless patterns, intricate plaster work, peaceful courtyards, gorgeous views, perfect gardens…and rushing water everywhere, the quiet music of the palace.
-more-
It´s a truly gorgeous, and I can barely imagine it was built by human hands, and what prodigious work it took. It’s TRULY massive! Of course, it was built over the span of a few hundred years…but that´s how long it takes to fix a pothole in NYC.

I WILL post pictures…I MUST post pictures…where there is a will there is a way.
So, I´m in a bit of a tizzy trying to figure out what to do next. It dawns on me that it will be much (MUCH!) cheaper to fly from southern Spain, the land of vacationing Brits, to Scotland -then it will be to fly from Madrid. I´m trying to hatch a plan right now, but I may just head to Madrid tomorrow and work south into Morocco, then back peddle to Southern Spain for the flight. How far will one girl go to save around 100€…or more…? I´ve not answered that question yet…give me time.
So it´s either Madrid tomorrow, or Tariffa, the most Southern part of Spain on the Strait of Gibralter…home to wind surfers apparently, owing to the chaotic waters and winds created by the strait.
I know not what to do at the moment…
Got to get back to researching my options. You´ll all know soon enough…
