Heading into Cambodia

So how many people can say they did a border crossing by boat?? It was pretty sweet. We went from Chau Doc to Phnom Penh. It took about 4 hours up the Mekong River. The border is pretty simple. Basically, just had to go and show the visa and passport and get back on the boat.

The first afternoon in Phnom Penh (Monday) was spent at the Russian Market. Apparently, the russians sold their wares there at one time. Unfortunately, there were a ton of bargains to be had so I did go a little crazy. A bag of goodies for less than $20USD. They use American dollars here but it is funny to see prices like $0.50 or $1.00 for clothes, etc. Fake Polo shirts are in abundance.

We went to dinner at a restaurant that is run by a couple that run an orphanage as well. Besides the food being fantastic-I never thought I would say that I had a GREAT pizza in Cambodia…haha…the kids put on a dance and song show at the end and they were incredibly sweet. It was an amazing experience. A great way to end the day.
