What has been going on….

I don’t know why I don’t have very many entries up here. Trying to think whats been going on with all of my time.

Wade, glad to hear you got home. And its cold, and snowy! I now think, what the heck are we doing living there? seriously, how much more northern do you want to go? are we all nuts? don’t answer that last one.

Lets see, took a french course. I was considering going to France to work, so i enrolled in a french course, skipped to the middle course area where I thought I should be, and didn’t do any homework. I learned a little, not much. It didn’t come back as easily as I thought it would. I don’t want to go to France anymore. Now i think Australia.

I’ve been out watching live comedy quite a few times. This last week, we were out at the chuckle club, part of LSE really. For only 8£ (student discount) there were 5 good quality acts. I don’t know if I would call the last guy quality, but definately a polished and experienced stand up comedian. Offended every country, every person, every race, every religion and lots gay jokes. The crown didn’t like it all. Afterwards, we got into LSE free, got a free drink!, and some candy! you judge what kind. now thats a good deal.
I also caught some a few times by covent gardens. Those guys were much more amateur and one guy was using old jokes, but still funny. I learned more about comedy recently, through my course, i’ll write more on that later. wow! is all I can say right now. So old comedy works, but its not overly great. The Irish guy was the headliner and not too good, but pretty psyco! The girl up second was pretty good. An oldy, but funny: two fish swim into a wall. One turns to the other and says… damn.

Wade and I went to the london museum, wandered around town. Caught the play, Avenue Q, which was funny and interesting, then we caught standup later in the night with Josh and Stacey. Those stand ups had a hard time, the crowd was large, chatty and not overly receptive. What a funny filled evening.

What else, saw the erotica show, that was neat, like the one back home but larger. Didn’t see anything new. They expect you to shop with these 2ft by 2ft bags! how rediculous. Got mine delivered. Then my bag exploded, toys flying everwhere… it was like a piniata. Then they kicked me out. Apparently you’re not supposed to have sx in the displays. The evening mascarade sounded excellent, wish I could have gone to that.

Had a couple of other buds leave recently. Michael, hope you made it back to Auz, you crazy #@#45!* (see you in Aus in a while), and Sean hope the roads treating you well.

What can I say, the classes kept me busy, i had less time to drink and spent all my money, somewhere and somehow.

I tried to make more money proctoring SAT exams. Need to show up before 7am, so someone is not too bright. They pays not so great, because its in US dollars- but would be ok if you weren’t living here! Every time I would go, i could use the money, do it. I’m never doing that again. If I ever say i’m going to do that, tell me i’m a retard! Sounds like drinking, except i’ve never said that because I now I can’t stop. Well aparently, they increased the pay because no one wants to do it, so maybe next year i’ll get back to doing that.

I have this one bad part of my routine now. Chicken here is plenty, and cheap. Theres lots of chicken places. Every time i’m hungry, or drunk, i walk past the chicken place in wembley park. I usually get a chicken fillet, and something else. And I eat the fillet as soon as i’m out the door. Their spicy wings don’t seem spicy, until you eat a few. Then you’re on fire! So ya, i’ve been eating a lot of chicken. A lot of tesco and sainsburys because of classes too. Oooo, and I won a giant pumkin pie from the school, gave most of that to my housemates, but it was good!

The decorations are up here for christmas now. Its crowded shopping as it is, it will be nuts here soon! I still can’t believe they shut down the underground and buses for Christmas. You would think not everyone celebrates it, and it is and international city, so why is everything shut down? A co-worker tells me the pubs are open for a few hours on Christmas 12-3, if you can find it, or get there.

Talking about parties, I booked new years up in Edinburgh. Hogmanay. Thats going to be a 5 day non stop party! BIGGEST NEW YEARS EVER! Crazy! I’ll let you know how that it.

Out for now, cheers,

Geoff

I agree with that! It’s majorly boring here Geoff, it’s like…do I want to watch Star Trek or CSI. That’s the hardest decision I’ve made since I got home.
