Florence – Italy
Florence – picturesque.
Florence is a really neat city. It seems so much nicer than Venice and a million time better than Milan.
Its quite small, still quite touristy but not as bad as Venice. And has the feel of a small city.
Hitting the most important spots, I stopped to see Michealangelos David, waiting three hours for that, and then the birth of Venus. The second day I saw the royal appartments because it was on the top ten list of best european royal palaces. It was nice.
I made a resolve to do more interesting things, because museums churches and monuments are boring. I have scuba diving still on my mind from Egypt. I figured out the guidebooks never have anything like that in there. I will try and do some diving in france, and maybe over to corsica because its supposed to be really nice there. Maybe windsurfing if its available there. Then next to the alps for Canyoning, rafting and hiking. Possibly Chamonix, but definately Interlauden and Laudenbrunen (sp?) in switzerland. My next stop is Piza on the way to La Spieza, for the Cinqueterra.
