Sept 29 – WA

Thursday, September 29th, 2005

Day 59 – It is the first official ‘seattle weather’ day we have had while here – and yes Sarah, this is normal weather for Seattle maybe a bit less wind.. have fun! I know it sounds strange, but to me it is comforting to have some rain and clouds – hard to get away from what you grow up with.

Yesterday Holly, Cole, and I went to Gas Works Park in Seattle. It is a fine park to enjoy nice views of Seattle while sitting in the grass or next to the water. They did a nice job integrating the industrial gas plant that they use to use for converting coal into gas into a city park for people to relax in and fly kites. We also met Norman – Jay and Yi-Chun’s super cat that has crazy jumping powers.

Our vw is officially sold, so sad to say good bye – but I know it is in good hands and will be well taken care of. Have fun with him Allison.
