Pokhara

January 4th, 2007

Hey! just a quick hi to wish you all a very happy new year, full of good Energy and love.

I’m in Nepal’s second biggest city now. A place called Pokhara. It’s not as busy as Kathmandu wich is a relieve, I was getting crazy with all those killer Rickshaws (3 wheels Taxi-bicycles). pokhara has a nice lake where you can rent a boat and relax for some time.
I’m leaving tomorrow to Chitwan National Park, hoping to see some Rhinos, Elephants and Tigers!! I’ll post something from there before going to India.

until then, send you all my love

Back from the mighty Himalayan mountains, with many many pictures!

December 28th, 2006

Namaste meine liebe Freunde!! I’m back!!! 🙂
Wow, it’s been a very long time without contact with the so called modern world, and I feel a bit weird!!
I arrived on the 23rd of December, after a wonderful month trekking on the nepali Himalayas. It was beautiful!!! At last the picture on top of my blog makes some sence. My original plan was to trek only to the Everest base camp, but as always happens when you are travelling, plans change a lot. Read the rest of this entry »

Trekking to the Everest Base Camp!

December 5th, 2006

Hola a todos!!! Where have I been?? The Himalayas!!!!!
Sorry I didn’t post something before, but I had very busy days before starting the trek, and then on the trail there’s no internet or phone.
Right now, I’m in Namche at 3440 meters above sea level!! It’s my 11th day of trek and I’m planning to trek for 30!! 🙂
I started in Jiri, and I’m heading to the Everest base camp, Kalapathar summit, and if the weather is good, to Gokyo Ri summit.
Kalapathar is at 5450 meters so it’s a “not so easy” trek :).
I go now, cross your fingers for me and wish me luck!
talk to you soon 😉

Remembering Dahab part 2, and chao Egypt!

November 18th, 2006

Nemaste people!! Liteally meaning “I salute the God within you” in nepalese. Just for the record and for those who were thouthful, I’m now much better from my cold, I’ve recovered my super powers back and I’m almost ready to rock the Himalayas 🙂

But before all that, let us go back in time a couple of days, precisely to the 8th of November, the day I entered the waters of the Red Sea into the exciting, rusty and dull world of Thistlegorm, my first ship wreck adventure. Read the rest of this entry »

Nepal!!!

November 13th, 2006

JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJA 🙂 I’m in Nepal!!!!!!

I’ve travel for the last 70 hours none stop from Dahab, Egypt to Sunauli , Nepal. That includes 11 hours bus ride from Dahab to Cairo, 6 hours flight from Cairo to Bombay, 36 hours train ride from Baombay to Gorakhpur, and 3 hours jeep ride to the border were I’m now! plus some hours waiting, of course.

Am I crazy???

Maybe but it just got into my mind that I had to get as soon as posible to Nepal and here I’m.

Now, in about 15 minutes I’ll jump in a bus to Kathmandu. This will be probably a 10 hours ride as well.

The really crazy part about it is I LOVE IT 🙂

kisses

simon =)
