Maybe finish in Frankfurt?

Yesterday afternoon it got really hot so I went into town and sat in the fountain under the TV tower with my feet in the water reading my book.

I’ve been reading a really trashy chick-lit novel which was great, I even started crying at the end – but I was reading with my sunnies on so the little kids playing in the fountain couldn’t see!

We all met up for a ‘group discussion’ which was interesting. We were supposed to go to the Altes Museum because it is supposed to be free on Thursday evenings but that wasn’t the case, so we walked down to this bar along the canal. Wow that reads really bad, no we were going to go to the Bodes Museum which is free, but I ended up heading over to West Berlin to meet Sascha, one of my friends from Prussia Cove, Cornwall.

So I met Sascha at the Zoological Gardens and he walked me through a maze of shrubby paths, past some of the zoo animals to a beergarden hidden away. It was quite big but if you didn’t know it was there you couldn’t find it.

We had fresh hot leberkase with potato salad and I had cider, well we had a few drinks and a really good catch up 🙂 Sascha suggested he ask one of the other Prussia Cove Berliners Marieka for some cool places to go.

Because the S-Bahn isn’t working I had to catch a regional train to Alexanderplatz in the east,  and after a few drinks I wasn’t sure if the train I had to get really would stop where I needed. It said for Frankfurt, so I’m glad I didn’t end up in Frankfurt!
