We Pet a Cheetah – WOW

This afternoon we went to The De Wildt Cheetah Research Center. The tour started with a wild dog puppy. The wild dog puppy, which was a girl, was named Patches. She was three and a half months old and was very playful. We couldn’t touch her because she still wasn’t fully trained and she gave rather hard bites.

Strange Meat !

What a day. It was half traveling, half just having fun and eating. We got up at 5 a.m. to get on a super luxury bus to Livingstone from Lusaka.

Lusaka – Zambia’s Captial City

August 7th, 2005

We had taken a bus from Livingstone to Lusaka. The ride was seven hours long, so we were exhausted when we got off the bus and into the station. In the station there was a mob of taxi drivers yelling ‘taxi! taxi!’ and ‘you! you! Get in my taxi!’. We simply ignored them because we had to get our bags. We finally made our way through the crowd and got our baggage.

Livingstone – Our Trip to a Local School

Today we are going on a tour of Livingstone by bike. Since we were the only people doing the bike ride, we got to choose were we wanted to go. We wanted to go and see the children of Livingstone. Our tour guides suggested we go to the local market, the school they built with the money from doing the biking tours, their village, and the bush, in order to try to see some animals.

One of the World’s Natural Wonders

We woke up at 5:30 a.m to see a once in a lifetime wonder. We woke to see Victoria Falls during sunrise. We had to get up so early because sunrise starts at about 6:15 and the sun is done rising at about 6:30.
