February 15, 2004Costa RICA!! soon.. Getting Robbed.. and Doors of Santiago!
Yippie! Since we last.. spoke? I have been both very busy, and very boring. I visited the house of pablo neruda, on isla negra (This person clearly enjoyed it more than i did). Then, today I was off to Santiago! and spent the day looking at.... DOORS and getting robbed? What a strange thing to do. slept in, watched HBO, played with that crazy ultramatic bed some more. But wait.. i am in santiago! the ledgendary santiago chile! i need to go out What better way than to get robbed? Right. Shudder. Actually this was more like me giving 30$ away, rather than the violent So first, i need to get the setting right. Really nice padestrean only JUST UP THE STREET, still within view was roughly this scene. THEIR spanish, VERY fast spoken, was a blur to me, but basicly i got the As i opened my pocket to give her a few thousand pasos to put in my hand (5$ Now, I know you are not family ( most of you anyways ) but when i was a boy, Her varation basly lead to her poring water on this money, and disolving it All the while explaining that i was giving this money to god, and it would By the time i realised that she had no intention of making the money 35000 pesos later. I am a wiser person. And slightly more cynical... Then i spent the rest of the day taking pictures of doors, and blank poster boards. Thinking sharon might use them in some cretive way... i hope she delivers. lol.
Click to see See the rest! I actually have a lot more, but i dont want you to think i am.. WEIRD! ;)

hahahahahah you fell for the napkin trick ;) Posted by: tov on February 15, 2004 09:03 PMGlad to hear the robbery was not TOO serious! I was robbed on a beach in Spain once. I ended up chasing the guy down, following him and yelling at him until he told me where my bag was. My camera and my cash were gone but the thieves were nice enough to take the film out of the camera before they stole it. Nice spanish thieves! Posted by: Cristina on February 16, 2004 01:59 PMYikes! I almost lost a bag in Peru to some lady and her counterpart. While she tapped me on my right shoulder asked me the time, he snuck up and dashed off with a bag full of gifts I was to deliver to our host family. After 50 sleepless hours traveling, you fall for the oldest of tricks. LUCKILY, my brother was slightly more conscious and saw the midget thief make off with the loot and chased him down, while I look around dumbfounded. -S Posted by: Steve B on February 18, 2004 12:55 PMThe hand is quicker than the eye!!!!! MUhahahaha!!!!! Sorry for your loss but glad to here you are all right...I cannot say the same thing for your ego though. Posted by: Tharani on February 18, 2004 08:03 PM |
