Leaving from Huanauco (700m) I traveled to a place that the residents claim is the highest city in the world. Incidently, i have deemed it the nastyiest city in the world.

I had expected to stay there for a while to see the sights and the big mines... but it was SO COLD, and SO RAINY, and i was SO out of breath. I decided to decend to La Oroya in preperation for the travel to lima. I got a GREAT seat in the front, and top of a double decker bus (Safety note: this is a bad idea, EXCEPT on top quality road, which it was).

From here, traveled to lima by car (4 hours) and i got to see SNOW!! HA! MORE SNOW than my canadian friends i am sure. The cars were covered! Aww.... memories of home.

Fortunately, 1 hour (and 4900m) later, I am back close to sea level wearing a tshirt agian. :)

I am sleeping in the Lima airport tonight, in preperation for a 6am flight to cuzco (65$US).
