November 17, 2004Day 41: Puerto Varas
We had an early start, as the bus for Puerto Varas left at 8 in the morning. This one was a lot less fancy, not much leg room at all. I looked out of the window, listening to my Cuban cd's and looking at the very green hills rolling by. After six hours, Volcán Osorno showed itself in all its glory, it being another beautiful sunny day. Puerto Varas is a really nice place, a small town with few shops, but very cozy. I had a walk around and happened upon this wonderful sandwich place, where the guy made me a lovely warm ave y palta sandwich (that's chicken and avocado), which I ate on the Plaza de Armas. After that I needed to catch up with this site and send loads of emails, so I haven't done much more. Right after I click 'logout' I will have a walk past the lake and look at the awesome view some more. This is the life... We're going camping in a few days so it may be a while before the next update. Comments
