Still day 41: Duncan and Dave's big date

I walked to the lake in Puerto Varas as planned (see previous email) but it was a bit chilly and I was in sandals and t-shirt so I had to race back to the hotel to get some more clothes.

At eight, we reconvened for dinner, minus Leigh and Catherine who wanted an evening to themselves. This meant the seating arrangements were buggered and the look on Duncan's face when he figured he would have to share a table with Dave was priceless.

So the rest of the evening was spent making fun of Duncan & Dave's romantic dinner date. From there we went on to speed dating and devised ten questions to find out whether the opposite party was worth pursuing. A few examples:
- When does a carrot die?
- How do you kill an oyster?
- Do you come here often?
- Are you in the country legally?
etc.
Phil, the only man on the table of eight, watched in increasingly horrified silence as the evening progressed, but I'm sure he learned a lot about the female psyche...
