Day 181: Auckland

We drove to the airport, stopping briefly at a petrol station to make Dougie more presentable, and dropped him off at the Avis office.

We checked in our very heavy bags and had a cup of tea. At the boarding gate, Keiron was driven to distraction by the TV, showing an add for a beauty product which seemed to go on for eternity.

The flight was only an hour. we flew over the snowcapped mountains, pretty cool. We took the shuttle to the hostel, where we checked into the double room. With a real bed.
A real bed!

We had lunch and spent some time sorting out the tent, which was still wet, and relaxing in, can I say it again, A REAL BED!

In the evening Keiron kicked my ass at pool again, and we went to bed quite early, enjoying the comfort of sheets, and pillows, and blankets...
