Yangshuo

We are now back in the US traveling up the Pacific Coast and as usual we are at least three weeks behind on our blog. We intend to continue posting until we are caught up. So stay tuned and continue to check for updates.

Our first day in Yangshuo we hung out. That night we went out to dinner with another around the world family, the Owens. The next day we woke up and it was raining super hard. By the time it finally let up raining it was a little past lunch. For the rest of the day we hung out.

This is the view from the top of Moon Mountain. The mountain had a large round hole in it near the top.

The next day we went on a bike with the Owens to Moon Hill. On the way we saw a very furry camel. When we got there, all the Owens hiked up to the top of the hill with Dad. Mom, Bjorn, and I stayed down below where some ladies fanned us, and gave us some oil for our mosquito bites. We bought some pop and postcards from them.

After the rest of our group came back, we walked back to our bikes and biked back.

We take a break from biking on a bridge over the river.

The next day we went biking on our own. We biked up to Dragon bridge. On the way we bought a flower crown. When we got to dragon bridge it turned out to not be so great, but it was OK. When we where there we got some really good corn. After we looked around a little, we biked back to Yangshuo.

We saw brides in many scenic spots posing for pictures. Because of the one child policy, weddings in China have become very lavish affairs.

The next day we left.
