Ubud

Emma and her bird buddies.

Our first day in Ubud we hung out. The next day we went to Monkey forest. There were tons of monkeys there. A little too many. There were monkeys eating bananas, and coconuts that the people who worked there gave to them. One monkey stole a huge bundle of bananas and was stuffing them in its mouth as fast as it could before another monkey stole them. There were also tons of little baby monkeys. Most of them were playing. After awhile we left Monkey forest, and went back to our hotel.

The next day, we went to Bali bird park. At the entrance there were real live parrots and macaws. There were a lot of birds in the park that weren’t in cages. There was one white bird, that liked to have its neck scratched. It felt very soft.

After that, we went to a little movie showing place. We thought it was going to be a documentary on birds or something, but it turned out to be a very cheesy 4d movie about a fish going to her grandma’s house.

After that, we went to go see the birds in cages. In one cage there were two huge bats hanging upside down. They were as big as a cat After that, we went to have some lunch at the restaurant. While we were eating, a peacock begged for some of my food. After we ate lunch, we went to go see the Komodo dragon. It didn’t move much.
Some of the cages we could go into and walk around. In one of those cages there was a large blue pigeon with a crest of feathers on her head!

Then we went to a place where they put birds on you. After we had seen the birds we went to the reptile part. There was one part where you could hold iguanas and turtles. It was really fun. After that we went back to our hotel.
For the rest of our time in Ubud, we hung out.

It is hard to believe that your year journey is about over. We have enjoyed reading about all your adventures; things we will never get to experience. You make us realize the world is a remarkable place and how fortunate we all are here in the US. Thank you for sharing it all with us. Safe travels home. Hugs
