Christmas, Traveling. Argg....

I woke up this morning, at 630, to catch a bus to puno. I was trying to get to bolivia. I was successful by the way, but I lost a few things...

Before I tell you about that, i want to say agian that i had a blast with the sweedish guys in cusco. Unfortunately, sweedish girls are a bit more trouble. ;) lol, I am not sure what I did, or where things went wrong (perhaps too much looking at other girls¿). When I left this morning, I said a nice goodbye to Anders, while louise, who was awake, mearly nodded from her bed. Actually, come to think of it, we havent actually spoken directly in days! Wow...

Strange? lol, i guess you have no way to evaluate, we need a story with 2 sides. Louise, if you are reading this, send me an email with an explination. ;) lol.

RIGHT, so bus to puno. All alone, on christmas. How sad! I left Cusco at 8am, and arrived in puno at about 2 (via pony express).

Then, everyone i met procceded to lie to me.
Argg..

"no, you cant goto bolivia today, you should stay here in puno" or
"the border is closed, its christmas! stay in my hostal" or
"the border is only open in the morning from 730 - 900"

If any of you perivians are reading this, most of you are nice, but stop lying to people.

So, next i took a combi to.. um.. the border. It was on this bus that my camera case was stolen. USB Card Reader, 256mb of memory, and...

I still have the camera (Nice one eh ben??) but I have no way to share. I left the bus for like 45 seconds to take a picture, and only later i noticed it was gone. I am so frustrated. I dont even think its possible to ship them here, the infrastructure in this country is weak. :( No more pictures?? COULD IT BE?? how sad.

For now, look how cute i am I am sure i will sort out the picture problem soon.. I hope!!

I am here now. And here are some stolen pictures, Just to set the scene...

After searching for the camera case for an hour (on the bus, in the OTHER bus, in the moto taxi) i gave up and crossed the border to bolivia with only 2 min to spare. Boy am I glad i didnt have to stay in peru another night. I feel happy to move on.

One good thing DID happen today, while inspecting a potential hostal, i ran into two dutch people that i went on the trek with! We had a nice christmas dinner of pizza and soup. :)

I am tired, I will explore here tommorow.

Miss you all, and wish i was home for christmas.

ciao

Oh, by the way, i stole the pictures from here. Mine are a lot better, and once i get a mem reader, i will upload them.
