Um... Where did quito goż

Yippie! The toilets DO flush the other way. Pictures to follow soon!

I love travelling, especially on vacation. I find myself very free to listen in on other peoples lives and get a real sense of the way things are going.....

Especially in Miami, what a funny city! It was great for a slow immersion into Spanish, as the Cuban residents have made it all but official second language.

So, as you ALL know, I am starting my journey in the highest capital in the world; Quito. Strange then, that I find myself all landed and south of the equator, but AT SEA LEVEL.

Quito is in a long valley with steep walls, its a hard landing in the best conditions. Tonight, it was rainy and foggy. Hmm, no fun for the pilots, so they rerouted us to Guayaquil.

Damn.

Oh well, let the adventure begin.

Tomorrow I am going back to Quito (I must, to get my luggage that is being held hostage) and then I will continue with my plans.

Met some nice people already

Tim Jones
And Susana Bernal

Talk to you all soon!!
