Day 114: Art

Today we went to the Museo de Artes Visuales in Santa Lucia. There was an exposition of Luis González Palma, a Guatemalan photographer.

He makes giant photographs, using gold leaf and lots of sepia colours, very nice. upstairs was a short overview of Chilean modern art but that wasn't so interesting.

We decided Santa Lucia, while being a nice neighbourhood, is a bit too upscale for us so we had lunch at La Naturista, but our tortilla was not that nice.

In the evening, we nearly overslept: Keiron woke me as it was time to go to the cinema, where El Leyenda del Tesoro Perdido (National Treasure) was on, a film with Nicholas Cage and John Voight. Sean Bean was the token bad Englishman and Harvey Keitel the good FBI cop.

We saw the trailer to Bidget Jones - The Edge of Reason and I can't wait to see it... The film wasn't bad, although if I were Dan Brown I would sue the scriptwriters for plagiarism, because there were quite a lot of elements which were surprisingly familiar to his Da Vinci code...

Back at the hotel we picniced (sp?) on the bed again and shook out our picnic blanket over unsuspecting pedestrians... I read my book (The last kabbalist of Lisbon) and Keiron did his diary and that was another day gone!
