Day 78: Christmas Eve

Everything hurts, which is as it should be. I have another laundry crisis on my hands, seeing that all my jumpers and long trousers are either splattered in mud or smelly, so I hope today remains sunny.

I had a great shower and went to pick up my cd-rom with photos from Downhill Madness. Afterwards I went into the Museo de Coca.

It's a quaint little place, it almost feels illegal in itself. There were four Americans, who figured it would be fun to read out loud the English notes they got as translation for the Spanish (I even got a Dutch version). Some people just have no clue there is an entire world around them, or they think it revolves exclusively around them. The, like, you know, inane comments of the woman were irritating me even more, so I went to sit down, read the booklet and waited until they had concluded their tour.

The exhibition was really interesting, even if the organisation was a bit random. But that seems to be a given of any Bolivian museum. I had a sandwich at the Angel Colonial which had a huge piece of pollo in it. In the afternoon I just hung around, reading my book (murder mysteries at Christmas, very appropriate).

Everything started closing down for Christmas Eve, so I bought myself a box of chocolates and had dinner at the Cafe Terrazza (they do really nice wraps) and went to the hotel.
