Day 8, Bad hair day

The guy who wrote that song, īGirl Iīm gonna make you sweat, sweat till you canīt sweat no moreīmust have been thinking about taking her to Cuba.

Ever since Iīve arrived here, not once have I felt dry. Iīm having a bad hairday every day and Iīm already dreading the photos, because it takes ages for my hair to dry because of the humidity and after an hour it looks like I never washed it in the first place. If I stand in one place after an hour of salsa, I am sure a puddle of water will form at my feet.

It is very very humid here and no fan or airco will let you forget it for long. Every day, we have had a downpour, which lasts about 1 to 2 hours. Afterwards, the streets look like a river, a dirty one at that, but even the rain is warm and sticky.

Incidentally, I washed my clothes and the water was black from the exhaust fumes every day. Not an encouraging thought when you think I actually have to breathe that stuff in every day.

Itīs the weekend! Tomorrow there is supposed to be a trip to Vinales, if I can find out where they are meeting I will go too.
