May 02, 2005Venezuelans love Americans!!!!
So, this past weekend i went to Caracas for an AIESEC reception weekend, which meant that all of the other forigners working in Venezuela converged in Caracas to party, do some sight seeing, and talk. I feel alot better about things now that i have talked to other folks (esp, other americans) who have been working in venezuela, about their experiences here. Most of the forigners didnt like this place to much either, and reported that it took them between 2 - 4 months before they got adjusted to the culture here. I am happy because i was beginning to think that i was not being optimistic enough or that there was something wrong with me....Glad i dont feel so alone in my thoughts...make no mistake, venezuela is a big culture shock for forigners. Anyway, here is a pic of (from left to right) Venezuelan national guard, ana (from mexico), Me, Lilli (from colombia), and Brandy (from Austin, TX). Comments |
