Thursday, July 17th, 2008I have absolutely no idea how I had offended my masseuse so much that she felt the desire to walk up and down my back until every disc clicked, but apparently it was also offensive enough to make her want to click all of my toes.
What made it worse was that I was facing Lauren and she seemed to be having the nice part of the painful massage I was getting.
We both showed our prude Britishness though -Lauren more than I – with barely contained giggles of embarrassment of a stranger rubbing our legs and that. I will definitely not be getting another, Lauren, however, her head facing away from me the whole time, has no idea of the ordeal I had to endure while she was gently lulled into a relaxing state.
For the purpose of truthful reporting I’m inclined to tell you that she said hers was also painful afterwards, but I was watching her get her massage, and I didn’t see any spine walking, any leg wrenching, any demonic possession in her masseuse’s eye. Lauren, the masochist, wants to go back, this time for a full hour.
