Yonder Czech Republic
Still struggling with Czech keyboards…you simply must absolve me of my typo sins…
So, I spent a week in Prague with my big sister…
Me and…no, not Katie…Stalin!
She left this morning at an ungodly hour…but such is the life of budget travelers…all the cheap flights are at 6am it seems.
We spent an eventful week touring the Czech capital…and still, Im not going to bother with all the details when I cant even find the apostrophe on this keyboard.
This is basically just a note to let everyone know Im alive and well, and currently in Brno, the second city of the Czech Rep. Its very pretty, but the streets are oddly empty, giving it a somewhat menacing feeling in my humble opinion.
I arrived this afternoon, found a cheap place to stay and walked around a bit, but tomorrow will be for sightseeing. The architecture here is beautiful…grand, and the city quite compact. Its the second largest city in the CzRep but has a population of about 350K. I think I may have walked the whole city already…but Ive heard there are some interesting museums to check out, which were all closed today…like everything.
Brno from Castle Hill
It still amazes me how places shut down on Sundays…even “cites”. It took me a good half hour to find someplace to grab dinner.
Anyways…all is well, as usual. Next stop Bratislava…which I just like saying. Its Slovakia, and not that far east…but just has such a monumental name to it…Bratislava. I love it. Hopefully I will when I actually get there too…
