Work Continues

Today…its a chocolate cake from scratch! My hands are sore from all the mixing…and grinding almonds in a mortar and pestel.
But it’s still better then singing for my supper.

I’ve decided to head straight to Prague.
This works for a few reasons. 1) My package still hasn’t gotten to London. 2) I wouldn’t have enough time to do any justice to Poland. 3) I can meet my sister at the airport and go into the city together.
Yes, my sister!
She’s coming to visit me and have a little vacation in Prague!
She arrives Sunday morning after an obscene battery of flights that take her from Sacramento to Minneapolis to Amsterdam and finally Prague. I figured meeting her at the airport would be a nice thing to do so she doesn’t have to further tax a sleepy brain trying to get to the city center.
Until then, I’m head chef, camping out on Philip’s couch.

    Hey Liz,

Sounds like PB have a good thing going there. Cooking and now baking. He’ll be spoiling in a week.

Yeah…I think it is approaching spoiling. (And baking was only complicated by metric!)

    Yo Liz

I just got home, 6.20 am and the house is so still and quiet. It seems so utterly different in some strange way. Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for the cakes, the food and the friendship over these last few weeks, its been a total blast and if my liver ever recovers I will be suprised.

I hope you can take home some fond memories of the People’s Republic and England in general. Its been an utter privalage to hang out with you these last few weeks and I shall look forward to reading your exploits on the blog. I shall, of course, be sitting on the sofa thinking about cutting the grass and not watching crap films…especially not crap French ones.

Have a good rest of the trip and I hope things go as you planned..there is always a sofa and a warm welcome for you whereever in the world I end up…

    hugs

    Philip
