Christchurch and around..
Well, today did not start off too great. We had some new roomates last evening who stumbled in around 3AM stinking drunk. How loud can two girls be??? Ugh. Funny thing was this morning, after they left, everybody said, how did you sleep? Apparently, everybody heard them but nobody wanted to say anything. Ugh…
Anyway, got talking to a girl named Jacinta from Wales and we had a really nice day. Got breakfast and then she decided to join me on my afternoon tour I had scheduled.
The tour went to Hagley Park and we went to see Mona Vale, which has historic homes and gardens. Average cost of homes approx. 5 million. Small change. We then went to Port Hills and some of the eastern suburbs.
We stopped at Cave Rock which is near Sumner and saw the beach. Cave Rock had lava flow through it at one point.
Next, we went to a small town of Lyttleton township. There is a port which brings in the used cars from Japan and they also ship out coal to Japan and Korea.
We ended up going for dinner at this place that had the best meal I have had here so far. Chicken and pasta:) Anyway, afterwards I needed to stop at the “cash point” to get some more money and we heard and Irish band playing. We decided to check out the pub; it was called “The Bog” and here it was 20 piece band. We find out later that not one of them is from Ireland, they’re all Kiwis. Jacinta said it was better than any band she’s heard in Ireland. Too funny.

Did you have them put a note in your file about the loud girls? 🙂
