Eating Cheap in Sydney

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2004

Jim and I discovered a little thing by accident that we’ve been taking advantage of over the last few days.

If you go to one of the huge underground food courts by the big and beautiful Victoria Building around 5:30 pm, most of the food places put out food with big discounts. Like Jim got 3 big sushi rolls for 3 or 4 bucks and you can find good Thai food, pasta, sandwiches for A$4 (believe me that is pretty cheap here).

Yay!

Still in Sydney

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2004

Hi everyone! It’s been super long since I’ve posted. Internet costs a fortune here, well, everything costs a fortune here. I was excited to finally be able to put up a pic oe two, and I just spent a HALF HOUR going thru the pics and making a few smaller, and I came on here and for some reason the “upload picture” button isn’t working… so it was all a complete waste. Great.

We’ve done a lot since we’ve been here, including going to the awesome Aquarium. We’ve walked so much my feet burn. Yesterday we went to Manly beach and relaxed. I have a lot to tell you about. The only bad thing is that Australia isn’t nearly as crazy and weird as Thailand so I bet my stories won’t be that interesting. Anyway, my time is up… grrrr about the pictures. Later gators!

If I had to describe the weather here in one word, it would be "glorious." It gets a tiny bit hot during the day, but other than that, there is a beautiful breeze and very pleasant weather. I LOVE IT. ... [Continue reading this entry]

Sydney Baby!!

I'm here! I made it through the long flight, but it wasn't so bad since it was super empty and I got to lie down on the entire row of the plane. The food was uncharacteristically bad, though. The ... [Continue reading this entry]
