Another Note

Hey Everyone — We just stayed two nights at my Aunt and Uncle’s place in Salt Lake City, had a wonderful relaxing time. We haven’t had time to update the blog or pictures – but we will have a lot to post up very soon.

Burning Man was amazing and I will write about it later – best experience ever though, such a great community and giving people – all of my friends from the East Village would have loved it.

Right now we are on our way to Alaska. We have to cut our trip short by two weeks due to the hike in gas prices… so we are having to skip our stops in Wyoming and Montana and drive straight to AK.

To all my Loisaida soccer players – do your best damage this season – I miss you a ton and good luck with you fall season!! I can’t wait to hear how it is going and I’m thinking of you all a lot. 🙂

Hey, Ap! I got your message and will call you back when I’m not at school- but I’m more or less available whenever you happen to be up here, because I’m about as exciting as I ever am. 🙂 Sorry your trip is getting shorter because of the gas, and I hope you have a good raincoat if things in Anchorage continue like they have been.

    Hey April,
Randomly found your blog as we research our own trip along the Pan American. Kind of crazy–but it looks like you guys are doing a pretty similiar trip to us at just about the same time! My boyfriend and I (both 27) are just back from Burning Man, which we did on our way down from Deadhorse, AK as we continue along south to Mexico and beyond. We’re even in a 4 runner too! We’re headed down to Tierra del Fuego but not continuing on like you are to other continents. It might be really handy that we’re both travelling this path right now such that we can trade info, etc. We wanted to know what kind of car insurance that you guys were planning on using in central and south america—we’re not sure if we can buy it at the borders. Any ideas? Would love to hear from you–your blog is great. Thanks, Tobie
PS: Check on the status of forest fires on the Dalton Highway–our visibility was very bad when 1,000,000 acres were burning.
