Verkehrsinsel–Traffic Island

So far, so good. Germany has been very nice and relaxing. We have been spending most of our time hanging out and eating with friends. Caroline and Klaus, who we are staying with, have been extremely hospitable. We went with them to the castle we are in front of in the first picture. In the evening there was a concert in the entry hall of the castle. The music was of the time (like 1700’s), and they dressed in the clothes from that period as well. It was strange to be there thinking about being in India in just a few days. We are going from castles and violins to bed bugs and pick pocketing monkeys…. ohhh what we have to look forward to. We also went down to StrauรŸburg (very exciting to use that funny letter) to the European Parliament. We visited the restaurant that Todd worked at and spent the day with Frank and Cornelia, who Todd worked with. It was wonderful company and Frank got his money’s worth of his english dictionary. Caroline and Klaus live, and own the vineyard in the picture. That little pink gazebo is a beautiful room. We had a birthday party in there. What a view!!! We have also been drinking wonderful wine and beer from this area. The wine was actually from their vineyards.
On a personal level, we are truly testing each other. Todd’s feet stink and Lisa is developing a mullet. aaahh true love!!!

***we love all your comments, keep ’em coming!!

Eins pils? Those photos look unbelievable so far. Todd looks like a natural on the camel, too. Give my regards to everyone in Germany.

We can’t wait to go diving next time we are in Israel! We spent a great weekend with Aunt Susie and Kira cleaning up Nanjemoy, swimming in the river, and fishing. It’s not the Red Sea, but it sure was fun! Love you.

Holy Wow Dear God!! Who forgot to secure the ropes and let these two maniacs adrift??!!?? First time at this blog, in fact first time I’ve ever typed the word ‘blog’, and I’ve read every bit. Definitely fantastic! The trip looks amazing and everyone’s posts are great! A few words here. Todd, you I know are always solid, two feet on solid ground and all that, so I am confident you’ll have a great time. Also you got a hell of a woman. But Lili, you unhinged crackpot, what freakishly rare indigenous junk did you freebase before you unleashed on an ARMED GUARD?!? And can you send me some? In the end, of course, anyone in the know can be certain that Lisa WILL kick you ass….

Finally, a few words about some of the Cousins. I can confirm that Cousin 02 has found another love, moving in together even, and that its a GUY. Yeah, a man, dude, whatever. Looks like a teenbeat heart-throb pin-up. And is a also a great person. And while of course you, Cousin 03, are doing magnificiently, the dark horse Cousin 01…has…a…girlfriend! A real one! And we’re in love (or so I’m told; I just feel crazy and think about her all the time and when I ask what the hell’s the matter with me everyone is like “yeah, idiot, you’re in love”!) And she gets furious when I say I have to finish my graduate work, so I don’t want to talk on the phone every day. And I take it! Her name is Krin and she’s in the Circus. Same outfit that does Cirque du Soliel. Very avant-guart arty stuff (swinging from fabric 50 feet of the ground to modern classical music and all that).

OK. That about does it for now. I’ll be following you guys with excitement.

How do the grapes and wine taste? Any comparison to the French? Or Virginia wines? ๐Ÿ™‚

Beautiful pictures! Big mansion! Are you guys staying at the big mansion? It’s magnificent!

Mullets? You’ll be fine. Both of you have mullets, anyway! ๐Ÿ˜€ You two are like 2 peas in a pod! ๐Ÿ˜› (thinking to myself – can I edit this post later? I’m trying out emoticons! :-))

Keep chugging! (Beer, too, of course) ๐Ÿ˜€

Hey Lloyd!! You guys look fabulous!! Please, keep the photos coming as I am living vicariously through you two. I’m loving school. The academics are keeping very busy but I am looking forward to our upcoming home football games. Todd, I got you forward about Michael Moore’s message to the pres. Does everyone know that your apathetic but didn’t even cast a vote? I think you should relinquish your political propaganda unitl next voting season. Lisa, I empathize with you on the feet issue. Try that ole Dumb and Dumber remedy and take a hacksaw to those bunions.
I am so happy for the both of you. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I’m thrilled to know people like you and I am proud of you both. Brandon, what up playboy.
    Much love,
    Carson

The German beer and wine doesn’t help for stinking feet, but… the Indians will sure take care of you with curry. Curry is the cure to all body smells since all smells become curry! so don’t worry Lisa, it’s only another couple of days.
The pictures look great, and I can see the pink coloring from beer and wine on Todd’s nose and cheeks.

If Kiki has a boyfriend and Eki is in love, anything else can happen.
Keep having fun and we can’t wait to read the following adventures.
    Love

Lisa had a mullet when she left Maryland and Todd’s feet have always been funky. If his athletes foot is acting up again the smell is because he pees on his feet in the shower.

    Happy travels!

    Scott
