What a day.

So the longest by far. We drove from Munich to Paris, stopping in Stuttgart along the way. The End.

No literally, we sat on the bus and looked out the window and watched long movies and had two pee stops and that’s it!

We had traffic leaving Munich and traffic coming into Paris. Paris is the first capital city I’ve been to so far on this trip, and it’s very different from seeing it at the age of 12. We saw most of the major sites on the way to the drop off. The Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, the Opera building. We are up near Montmarte which is close to the Moulin Rouge, oh yeah, and all the sex shops. It’s kinda the red light district of Paris, but not really.

We weren’t able to get into the hostel recommended by Busabout so we had a hotel, but when we got there they said there was something wrong with the room and we were taken to their version of ’emergency accomodation’. A hotel up the road, a room on the sixth floor with no lift, a double and single bed, no towels and the whole hotel was undergoing renovations – cords and cables were hanging out everywhere, and we had a curfew of 1am. It was not good. We only went out to the supermarket because everything was closed by the time the rooms were sorted and their dodgy night shops are worse than London’s dodgy kebab shops!

Lija was snotty and sick so she got shafted to the single and Elissa and I tried not to kick each other all night long!
