The whole world at my feet...

This blog is for my family and friends, to let them know my plans and predicaments, my adventures and experiences. To let them know when I'm on the move or staying put, and maybe even when I'm coming home - don't count on it anytime soon though! Enjoy...you are always on my mind, or at least at the back of my mind :-)

Crazy Cornwall!

September 25th, 2008

As I knew it would, my two weeks in Cornwall passed by in a flash (not a black out haha)…

just to warn this is not in chronological order. I had such a good time so many things are flashing through my head so this is just blurgh – me getting it all on a page. Good luck if you understand any of it haha…continuez…

Choo choo!

September 10th, 2008

I’m sitting on the train to Penzance, the south-western most tip of Britain, and the last station the train stops at. It’s half past 12 and I arrive at 3pm, after a five hour trip.

Off to Cornwall, finding new adventures

September 9th, 2008

Just a head’s up about my…whereabouts. I’m off to Cornwall tomorrow for two weeks of festive fun, hard work, good food and cheap wine. I’ll be writing for Moneymagpie while working, and am swapping around with working in the kitchen and babysitting Ben. We get to do a whole heap of cool stuff like go to the beach, for walks, make cakes, get messy, go into town with the drivers and basically whatever we want to keep him out of mum’s hair while she’s working 🙂

Anna, one of my bestest high school friends, and I are also beginning to organise her trip over here in November – okay, so she wants to book the tickets tomorrow! We’re hoping for a short trip to some European country and about a week in London and I’m totally pushing the idea to go up to Bath and see Austen history! Shall see what happens, totally looking forward to it after we ran wild together in Germany in Year 11 🙂

The Aussie Armada in Spain

September 6th, 2008

Ola! Our summer holiday in Spain lasted a week and it was not long enough by far. We’ve seen zilch sun in London, so when we landed at 9pm and stepped off the plane into a dark new place we were comforted by the humidity. Lija described it as almost the same as living in Darwin, I was just dumbfound at the feel of heat on my shoulders…yep, it’s been a while since real sun…

Long weekend in London

August 25th, 2008

There is no greater tale of woe, than that of Juliet and her Romeo. Lija, Naomi and I went to see the Middle Temple production of Romeo and Juliet on Saturday. I think this is the third time I’ve seen it over here, but what I enjoy most is the artistic creativity where each company is able to put on a truly unique production.

Hostel to live or live to hostel?

August 22nd, 2008

There’s never a dull moment living in a hostel, as I’ve found this week. Everything is made that little bit more difficult because you’re literally living with about fifty people and when there’s two showers for everyone all hell breaks loose.

Meandering through Maidstone

August 17th, 2008

We’ve been to visit Jen in Ireland, and we go down to see Sarah every so often in Sutton, so this weekend Sarah, Lija and I went down to visit Emma in Maidstone, Kent, which is an hour south-east from London on the train.
