- Near Ouray : cows and prairie, look like the Alps
- Ouray : the Switzerland of America… maybe from far
- Ouray : never saw this architecture in Switzerland, but nice Western style
- Ouray to Silverton : our road climbed to 3400m and there, it was still winter
- Ouray to Silverton : it was also cold…
- Silverton : Durango – Silverton scenic railway, we didn’t take it but enjoyed seeing the engine
- Silverton: frozen by the cold, we decided it was better to give up our picnic and go to the restaurant
- Silverton: an old ghost town, from mining to tourism…
- Silverton to Durango : the road landscape is just amazing, it must be marvelous during summer too…
- Durango : such a lovely little town focused on outdoors (mountain bike, ski, hike) with a real commercial downtown…
- Mesa Verde NP : view on the biggest dwelling – Cliff Palace
- Mesa Verde NP : visits are like people were doing 500 in prehistoric time
- Mesa Verde NP : hard to believe that it is more 800 years old
- Mesa Verde NP : yeah, it was cold and rainy but the worst has to come
- Mesa Verde NP : view from the mesa on the canyons… dwellings are a little bit everywhere.
- Mesa Verde NP : top of the Mesa ruins… unfortunately very few documents to know all practices of this time
- Mesa Verde NP : coming back to the camping at the end of the day to remove the snow…
- Mesa Verde NP : morning view… I don’t mention that the night was very cold
- Mesa Verde NP : snow baptism for the car and she like it, it will not be the last if we move to Boston…
