List of Stuff

While I’m punching away at the keyboard, I been jotting down on a page next to my elbow a list of things that pop into my head that seem important for my exile:

  1. Moroccan Embassy (for visa)
  2. Tickets (I hear via Madrid on Iberia is the cheapest)
  3. Guide book (Lonely Planet or Rough Guide)
  4. TEFL addresses
  5. Backpack
  6. Laptop
  7. Shampoo (how did this get here?)
  8. Removable Harddrive (probably for all my pics)
  9. Digital Camera
  10. Info (w.t.f.??)
  11. Phrasebook
  12. Car cover

I bought the laptop and shampoo, also found out about visa’s [can only get i month travel visa and upgrade there to work visa] and ticket [only British Airways have a one year open return and its just over R8000].

Oh, and if anyone knows of a cool site I can put pics to, it would be much appreciated. The firewall here at work blocks photobucket and imageshack. This blog is going to be bleak without pics. Unless this test here…Me thinking… works.

hey man, you can use http://www.flickr.com to post photos for free! I believe there is even a blog this option so as soon as you post them to your account you can send them to your blog!

    hope this helps.
    safe travels

Seems work has blocked flickr as well. The thumbnails should suit me so long and once I start travelling I’ll look into using flickr.

I also need to check out if there’s a way to get comments approved automatically…

I am not sure where you live, but you may want to check out flyzoom for a flight to london, then easyjet to Marrakesh or to Spain and then ferry over.

I’m heading to Morocco in May.

    Good luck

I may find myself heading back there for a teaching job after the rest of my trip.

I’m from South Africa so flyzoom doesn’t work for me. A friend who travels a lot internationally is going to mail me some internet sites that he uses. I’m not expecting to find a much cheaper quote though.

Going to Spain gives me the extra hassle of getting visa for Spain (too much countries need South Africans to have visas!) unless its a flight transfer.

Ahhh, OK. The ‘posted from Canada’ label threw me off.

Strange. I don’t see Canada under my posts. I’ve been checking but I can’t see where I can change mine to South Africa.

Anyway, lets keep in touch. It’ll be great if we happen to bump into each other in Morocco.
