London 1nd May 2006 – 8th May 2006
Saturday, May 6th, 2006We arrived in London on Tuesday 2nd May. Nothing has changed and it seems as if we have never been away. I love this place!!
It was really lovely to get settled at our friends place, and great to see them too, of course! It has been great for the kids to have other children to play with. We moved on from London to our old home town for a few days and spent some time with old friends and investigating old haunts which was lovely. The particular friends we stayed with are so hospitable and we felt so welcome all round.
Caelan got to spend the day with the childminder who cared for him when we lived in London, he had a fantastic time and was very spoiled.
Overall – the weather has been marvellous, we haven’t spent too much money (slightly over budget because Torien was insistent that we kit the children out in England football shirts). The kids have been amazing. They are sleeping well (Tate has a cold so was a bit wakeful last night). They have been going to bed without fuss in strange beds and have been so beautifully behaved, we really feel blessed.
Today is our last day in London before we leave for New York. I’ll update from there.
