Zombies
Just killing time before heading off for a walk around the sea wall. I was going to see ‘An Evening with Kevin Smith’ tonight, but just found out I have one pound forty-eight in my bank account. Plus I would have to disguise the fact that I can’t stand his movies. Dogma is possibly the worst film I’ve ever paid to see. But he’s a director so it would have been interesting.
Yesterday as a treat for feeling okay I ate out at Denny’s again and then went to the movies to see Land of the Dead. The popcorn was so salty I could only eat half of it, which was very disappointing. The movie was pretty crap too. They made the mistake of making the zombies think. Surely the scarey thing about zombies is that they’re so mindless yet so relentless? They only just stopped short of giving them human emotions like love, like they did with the Daleks in Doctor Who. Always a bad idea. I’m now finished with Denny’s since the food is revolting.
Don’t know when I’m going to be able to do Part 2 of the classroom part of my sailing course. Went to part 1 last week, but too ill do the second bit (and multiple choice test!). The first part was all about collisions and who should give way to whom. A boat approaching another boat on its port side has to give way, but if it’s on the other’s starboard side, it should reatin its course. Or something. Not sure what port and starboard are still. Anyway, the evening was boring, despite involving lots of demos of toy boats crashing into eachother.
The idea that I’ll be in possession of a Pleasure Boat Operator’s Card is scarey, since my Driving Instructor said I have no spatial awareness. But it’ll be fun to have in my wallet.
I’ve started using the word anyhoo alot. This is a really bad idea and I should stop immediately because it makes me sound like a fool.
I missed breakfast this morning because I had one hour’s sleep due to the amazing snoring going on in my room. Two out of four of us moved out in disgust this morning. The main culprit started chatting to me as I was moving out and I had to smile sweetly and disguise the fact that I felt like throttling her. I wonder if it’s possible to get a cattle prod to poke people who snore.
Feeling much happier and the sun is out for a change. Thinking of developing a little crush on the actor John Leguizamo! I don’t know, though, I’ll have to see how it goes.
