Fire dance in Nadi, he has the fire on his feet

Hello all,

I am now back in Nadi.  I got in yesterday and saw another fire dance and knife dance.  It was the best I have seen yet.  There are at least 15 people here that I met on the Islands and most are on their way to the next country or home.  It was great to see so many familar faces again.

I decided to go golfing today and it turned out to be a bad decision.  The course was the one the Vijay learned how to play and it was pretty basic but i will explain what went wrong.  First they wanted $60 to play and clubs and balls and tees.  I ended up paying $35 which was not bad.  I was given 6 balls and 3 tees and clubs that were so old that I think my Uncle Don is the only person who may have seen a set like this.  As a mater of fact he probably has them in his basement.  I broke the 3 tees by the 4th hole and played the rest with out.  The sun was unbelievably hot and like a dummy i only had 1 water and it was gone by the 8th hole.  I shot a 44 on the front and felt pretty good about it because most of the time i had no idea where i was hitting to.  the back 9 was a different story.  There was no where to get more water and so i started to get tired early.  I lost 2 balls on 11 and 2 more on 12.  Now i only have 2 left and lost another on 13.  Time to start concentrating but that didn’t work either, I made it through 14 but lost my drive on 15 so I had to quit.  I could have got more balls and went back out but i think i was almost at the point of heat stroke so I gave up.  Tomorrow is a holiday in Fiji and there is a tournament in the morning that I might go and play in.

Sat back for most of the evening with some of the new friends and traded stories about all the islands and adventures.  Going to bed early tonight as last night was a late one.

As you can see i was able to download some pics from ealier so please take a look.

Later,

Girls from Chech Republic

One thing I am amazed at are all the people I am meeting.  They have been great.  I met Eve from Michigan on Bounty and did some snorkeling, she was on her way home after being on the road for a long time.  I think she should be back in Michagan by now and it is either her birthday today or maybe yesterday.  Eva from France was a great help and told me about Tribewanted.  The group from Ireland were awesome (Carol, Christine and her boyfriend of which I can not remember his name) and I get to see some of them again at Mana.  Katie was with them as well but she was from England.  She is very good at creating games and then getting herself caught.  I seen anyone do so many sit ups in a bar.  I think I should have learned some German from Markus but I will have to do with out.  The Chec girls (Teresza, Lenka & Vera) at Kuata were great too.  They knew how to get a sunburn but tanning might be another thing.  I have filled a full page in my journal with names and emails and I am only 2 weeks in.  I am getting better at recognizing accents as well.  I can’t wait to meet the next group or person.
