October 05, 2004New Lonely Planet Travel Humo(u)r Anthology
Don George, Global Travel Editor at Lonely Planet, is seeking submissions (deadline 30 November 2004) for a travel humor anthology with a working title of By the Seat of My Pants. Stories should be previously unpublished, 1000-3000 words and fall into one of the four following categories: • Food (bizarre meals gone wrong) Or, as Don says, "(mis-)adventures in meals, hotels, transportation, encounters, romances, etc.: all the mischievous riches of the road!" There will be 26 or so slots, several already reserved by Big Names. (Editor's Aside: Does this mean will get to read a funny travel anecdote from the Dali Lama?) Submit away - if you already know how to contact Don - or keep your eyes peeled for submission details and an anthology-related contest on lp.com. Comments
No details yet -- or am I just blind? Please keep us updated on this! Cheers Whalewatcher Posted by: Denni on September 13, 2004 04:50 PM |
