On The Page Seeking [Unemployed] Scribes

On the Page magazine is looking for stories of the unemployed for their upcoming issue on Work.

The pitch: "Was losing your job the best thing that ever happened to you or one of a series of terrible misfortunes? Did you train for a marathon, finally finish War and Peace, take up figure-skating, travel to India, become addicted to soap operas, or download every episode of Six Feet Under? We want to hear about it. Tell us your tale of what you did or didn't do in 500 words or less. Be sure to include how long you were or have been unemployed, what you did before, and what you are doing now."

The Reality:" Unfortunately we can't hire you, but we might be able to publish you. Send the tale with contact information, including name, address, phone, and
e-mail address by March 21 to"
