Outside Bolivia's sky-high capital, La Paz, a winding, narrow muddy track that's been dubbed the World's Most Dangerous Road snakes down through the fog to steamy Yungas lowlands.

I witnessed the aftermath of this tragic overturned camión accident while navigating the road one rainy afternoon on a bicycle. The deceased passengers had been hauled away, but grieving survivors were still awaiting a safe lift out nearby when the local TV camera crew (in the background) arrived on the scene.
