New Lonely Planet South America on a Shoestring

LP_SAM9_thumb.jpg

The new 2004 (9th) edition of Lonely Planet's South America on a Shoestring, including my chapter on Bolivia and Morgan's chapter on Paraguay, hit the virtual shelves in early April.

I was wondering if you could help me out. I just recently bought the 8th edition of the S. America Lonely Planet guide. Is there any way that I can trade the old guide for the new one??? Or will it be necessary?? Are there many things that have changed? I kindly thank you for your help.

Hola Julia. Lots of things have definitely changed since the 8th edition. Indeed, tons of things have no doubt changed since I researched the book last year. I'd recommend buying the new edition - you can order them from Amazon via the link on this page - if you get a chance, otherwise ask a fellow traveler to sneak a peek at their copy. Que le vaya bien (happy trails).
