Day 107: La Serena

Sometimes, when you are travelling, you forget that you are mainly doing it to enjoy yourself. You start feeling guilty about being in a new place and not being out exploring it. But sometimes, that is exactly what you need: time to recharge your batteries.

So today, after a five hour bus trip and an arrogant owner of Residencial Jorge (I asked him how much a room was and he acted as if I could not possible afford it as a backpacker. They were 9000 pesos for a single), I arrived at a really nice hostal (El Punto) and started with a nap in the double bed. At four thirty, I was awoken by the German tones of owner Jens and his wife Katja.

I went to the shopping mall next to the bus terminal and bought another bikini(the weather had better be good in the Pacific!) then went to McDonalds (yeah, I'm not doing too well on the 'no papas fritas' front) then went to the cinema.

At the hostal, I exchanged my books and started reading 'The Bride stripped bare' which I didn't put down until 12 because it's such a fascinating read.

So a very uneventful day, travelblog wise, but just the thing for me...
