Still day 55: Buenos Aires

I read my book for a little in the hotel. Three days in Ushuaia is a little bit too long, even though I really enjoyed it. But it was time to leave the end of the world for something a bit more glamorous!

We went to the airport at seven and Marcelo was driving, which was slightly disconcerting to say the least as he kept talking and turning around instead of watching the road. I had no extra baggage fee to pay even though my bag's weight is now 17.7 kilos and the limit for Aerolineas Argentinas is really 15.

The plane trip was uneventful, I tried to read in my book (the Brothers Karamazov) as I haven't even got halfway and I really want to get rid of it as I bought a new one in Ushuaia, about the gauchos in Patagonia, which I do not really have any room for.

The views of the lights of Buenos Aires when we landed were impressive though, a bit like Paris, only a lot warmer... it was a lovely 25 degrees outside, which means I can finally get my dirty fleece washed (it was too cold to do without it before and it was really getting a bit manky.)

The hotel (Goya) is OK, I especially like that there is a bath!
