After meeting a German couple at breakfast, of the type ´let´s see how crap the rest of the world is so we can congratulate ourselves on being German´, Andreas, Tatiana and I went to Playa Santa Maria del Mar.

It´s my first tropical beach experience and I was duly impressed by the turquoise waters, the umbrellas made of palm tree leaves and all the people who were much more tanned than me...

I was really careful in the sun though, having seen Owen, who was extremely sunburnt the first day he went to the beach... Ouch. There´s only a bit on my feet which I missed with the suncream and it is bright red, but otherwise I´m getting nicely tanned.

The taxi driver who drove us there also came to pick us up again. Tonight we are going to a discoteca, and then the weekend is over and it is back to school.
