Day 2, A la recherche de internet

I got up about 9, and Ivon made me some breakfast, rolls with guavo marmelade, fruit juice and milk with butter in it.

We had a bit more chance to talk, me in very bad Spanish, and covered all the where are you from and what language do you speak and what do you know about Cuba questions.

Apart from Ivon and her husband, there is a littl girl who is six. She was very shy at first but started drawing straightaway with the colour pencils I gave her and is now very intent on teaching me card games, whether I want to or not.

I also figured out Cuban plumbing, and had a shower. It´s amazing how everything becomes an adventure… I do think Ivon and her husband have quite good facilities, as they have a shower that does not electrocute you and a toilet seat. From what Id read in travel guides I thought these were very scarce indeed.

Tomorrow or Monday I will meet the rest of the students and the teacher, so that means I will have some more people to talk to and to explore the city with.

Ive been listening to some salsa cds and have read for a bit, and then I figured it was time to venture out into the hot day and find an internet café to reassure all my loved ones. Mission so far accomplished.
