Earthquake Update

Thank you everyone for the concerned messages and emails. We are fine. We just learned of the tragedy in Pakistan, Afganistan, and northern India. We were in the Thar Desert near the Pakistan border for three days but were far enough away from the quake that we did not even feel it. We are now in Jaisalmer, which is south of Delhi.

We are back in NZ now - off to Alaska soon for 3 years, very exciting! (And cold!)

Hi Hi
Wonderful update my favorite so far :)
Although Brandy maybe you should pull out your scissors and give that beau of yours a hair cut! he's looking quite the hippy these days. Travel safe - we all miss you at coffee EACH & EVERY WEEK!! Postcard was received your thoughfulness has a way of extending across many many miles....

I read this poem by Edna St. Vincent Millay recently and it made me think of you both

The railroad track is miles away,
And the day is loud with voices speaking,
Yet there isn't a train goes by all day
But I hear its whistle shrieking.

All night there isn't a train goes by,
Though the night is still for sleep and dreaming,
But I see its cinders red on the sky,
And hear its engine steaming.

My heart is warm with friends I make,
And better friends I'll not be knowing;
Yet there isn't a train I'd rather take,
No matter where it's going.

Luv

Hi Brandy & Kevin,
Nice to hear you guys are still doing so well. I must admit reading the entries is fasinating. I feel homesick for you as I could never be away as long as you have been, but reading about your travels is so much fun.
We miss you at coffee Brandy and we speak of you every Sat. at Brett's. You know the Martini/cookie exchange will NOT be the same this year. What with you and Dar missing!!!! And I do not even know how to make Martini's. Let us know what one you want us to make for you and we will toast you and Kevin.
Look forward to your stories of Malaysia. Safe travels to you.
