PHOTOS!!!

Technical difficulties have been overcome after a lot of bloodletting.  This may get fun enough that I will do more soon.  In the meantime, the 148 photos of the women, men and children of Cusco should keep you busy.  One thing I would like to point out is that this was not an event staged for tourists.  This was the real deal which is unfortunately becoming rarer and rarer to find.  Many of these outfits are what they really wear although many of them are certainly their Sunday bests.  Hate to see such amazing clothes getting ruined while working in the fields.  A day I will never forget…

I Hate Reverse Culture Shock!

You’re suppose to get culture shock when you visit cultures unlike your own.  Well, my experience over the past nine months has been just the opposite.  I get fairly crushed when I go to the areas where the culture is similar to home including home itself.  I arrived in Buenos Aires this morning and it is hard to adjust.  I miss Peru already.  The city seems like America or Europe and it has all the bustle and marketing that they have.  I will say no more because I expect that the crush will fade and I will make the adjustment and find something to love about it.  The women certainly are beautiful 🙂
