A1 race

We went to an A1 race here in Malaysia. Not really my thing, but it turned out to be very cool. Those cars are so loud! The cool thing is, each car represents a country so that makes it easy to decide who to root for when you know nothing about racing. The Kiwis had the coolest car, but Malaysia did give me a free T-shirt. The US car was very cool, too. It had “We The People” written all over it in tons of different languages. Here are a few pics.
The way they do this race is interesting also. It is supposed to be a true test of who is the better driver, so the outside of the car is just a shell. When they pack up and move on to a new location they deassemble everything and reassemble the shell onto a different motor, etc. at the next location. Apparently, the drivers like draw numbers or something so it is random what car they will have.
