Thursday, June 30th, 2005

Well our first official stop on our summer tour was Zion National Park in Utah. Although we stopped at the Grand Canyon for a couple days on the way out, El Malpais National Monument in New Mexico and Palo Duro Canyon State Park in Texas. We hiked hiked hiked at Zion so that was great, unfortunately we only got to spend a day with our friends before they had to leave due to a death in the family. Anyway, here are a few photos from Zion and our other stops on the way.

Finally a new post

Tuesday, June 28th, 2005

Well, yes it has been a while since the last post, I hope some of you are still checking the website. Our summer travel around the US has officially started and we are currently at Zion National Park in Utah.
We had a great time visiting with everyone in Houston when we got back, once again the lake party was awesome, then we headed up to Missouri and out to Vegas for Henry and Kirsten’s wedding. The wedding was beautiful and we had a blast in Vegas seeing everyone. Not much time for gambling which is a very good thing! After that we returned to Willow Springs where the Carter family had a sweep in the Y-athalon. Dad, Jon, and Dave took first place in the medley while Julie, Sadie, and I took first in the women’s division. I’m not going to say how many teams we were competing against….does it really matter? Ok, we were the only all female team but to win we did have to finish!
I am posting a few photos showing what we’ve been doing since we got back to the States.
