One way to the UK?

Well, I can only write a short entry here as I’m borrowing internet time from my mom’s workplace to do this!

I had a good last Thursday and Friday but was a little lost with no job to go to believe it or not! I still woke up at my normal morning time – that’s no longer happening this week! haha. Last Friday I met some of the ladies from work at 16:30 for drinks around the pool at Alice Resort, and the last of us (Lara, Rachel and I) finished up at 11:30pm! That was after some great cocktails and laughs and stories, and getting Shelley very tipsy prior to her going to see the Comedy Road Show – her friends did not sound too impressed when they had to come by the Resort to pick her up! So yeah, it was a good night with the work girls – thanks to those who came!

Saturday night was a day at the Races for Tamara and I which was excellent as we haven’t done much at all with ‘just us two’ for about a year!!! So it was a nice day, and then Tam and I ducked out to Bec and Neil’s house and I got to see Jayden and Caleb and my god kids grow up so fast! I know I hadn’t seen them for ages but they’re both so big now!!! I’ll try get a photo for this page.

 Then – Saturday night I had my actual farewell (thanks Lis for organising it!) with most of my friends from in town, and even my sister came (being nice cuz I’m leaving!) so that was a really nice night. Started off at Firkin (English pub in Alice…) and then we went to Bojangles and then on to Melanka (I know, Skankys will still be skankys whether it’s renamed “Gilligan’s” or not!) and I had to pay it a visit before leaving town – so that I appreciate what I am leaving behind! haha. I’ve posted some pics below of me and some mates – I’m also going to set up a photopage as I’m sure I’ll take lots of pics of people and things once I’m overseas! THREE days left in Alice Springs… 8 days til London!
