La Paz, Mexico (Mar 11-12)
Saw a really bad accident on the highway to La Paz. Went to the ferry terminal just outside of La Paz to purchase our tickets, but found out that the ferry from La Paz to Mazatlan didn´t leave until the next day. The ferry schedule was wrong in our Lonely Planet. We stayed at a RV Park in La Paz, hung out by the pool and met some really cool older people from B.C.
The next morning we woke up to the smell of sewage… yuck! The sewers must have been backed up somewhere in the area. We drove around and decided to eat breakfast at this ugly beach because Edmundo was sooo hungry. Actually it was because Linda told Edmund to drive there. Found a really beautiful beach after breakfast and spent the rest of our time there before the ferry left. The car´s oil light and buzzer has been going off many times every day but we haven´t found anything wrong with the car.
The car was packed super tight into the ferry which was mostly full of semi trailers. We met up with our friends Raimey & Jen on the ferry. We hung out with them and some cute Mexican kids who wanted to practice their English with us. We watched the sunset from the deck and went to bed in our cabin. The ferry ride took 18 hours.
