Golden, BC (Feb 4-7)
2 hours out of Edmonton the oil pressure alarm went off and we pulled over on the side of the highway. The dip stick showed no oil in the engine. The oil had sprayed all over the engine. We filled the oil back up and put a piece of cardboard over the grill to help keep the engine warm. It was -26 and we are not sure why the oil empties itself out of the car but we have a theory that it happens when the engine gets too cold on the highway. The car made it the rest of the 5 hours to Golden without ejecting the oil again. We stayed in Golden for 3 days of glorious snowboarding. There was tons of fresh snow everyday! Edmund unfortunately smashed his knee into a rock but fortunately he is really tuff and snowboarded anyways. Our stupid memory card erased itself in Vancouver so there are no pictures for this entry.
